Breathe. Fear can be painful and make you feel like less than yourself I get it. But just stop for a second and breathe. God sees your fear, but he came to take that fear.

God is upholding you and you need to declare that over your life. Today I am bringing you 8 songs for when fear presses you. Each song has a link to the lyric video on YouTube so you can sing your fear away. Remind yourself why you don’t have to be afraid. Fear does not hold you, Christ does.

Through the lyrics of this song you can declare that fear does not hold you captive. You are free form fears that hold you. Jesus drowned your fears. You are not defined by your fears.

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." - 1 John 4:18

I'm no longer a slave to fear

Being fearful is a choice we make. Emotions sometimes get the better of us and sometimes we allow them to control us. In Isaiah it says:

“So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God,
I will strengthen you and help you;
   I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. — Isaiah 41:10 (Bold added)

We are commanded not to fear. That simply means do not dwell in the fear. God is with us and he does not want us to dwell in fear. Listen to this song and declare that you will trust God, and choose not to fear.
I will fear no more

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes before you; He will never leave you or forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6

We can be strong and courageous because God is with us. He makes is brave. Fear has no place because Jesus died for us.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled, you believe in God;” — John 14:1a

No fear can hinder now the love that made a way

God understands your fears and wants to take them. He will meet you in the place you are.

“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

If you are burdened with fear learn to rest in God. He will take away the burden of fear.

And fear is filling up my head
Find You in the place I'm in

Love covers sin, fear, hurt, bitterness, and anger. Jesus’s love is surrounding you right now. 24/7. The Holy Spirit is with us. We can have that peace in our lives. His peace is part of his love.

“Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts.” — Colossians 3:15a

There's no fear in love

“They will have no fear of bad news;
         their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” — Psalm 112:7

We don’t have to read bad news! When we trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understandings he will direct our paths (See Proverbs 3:5-6).  When we trust God, there is no need to fear.

Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't start now

“For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

Fear is not from God; he gives us the option of a sound mind, and power! Declare that you don’t have a spirit of fear. You have power. Say it over yourself. Pray it over others. You don’t have to be afraid.

I don't have to give in to a spirit of fear
I am power love sound mind, love, sound mind

God is in control. He is holding our world in balance. No darkness or fear is too  great for him.

“God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging…

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

The Lord Almighty is with us;
      the God of Jacob is our fortress.” — Psalm 46:1-2 and 10-11

Be still God has got you. He will silence your fears and anxieties. Trust him, he will always come out victorious.

Jesus, Jesus, You silence fear

I hope yours fears are silenced. I pray that God may strengthen you to battle the fears of our world.
